    Week 5: -3.6 lbs
    Total Weight Loss: -19 lbs

Well, I am very happy. I worked very hard last week and met my expectations and beyond. I am thrilled. I feel like I am finally getting into the groove of things. In fact, I look forward to working out...kind of. LOL! If you knew me, I hate to work out but I am really enjoying the results. I will admit there are just some days that I don't feel like doing it but I make myself do it. My kids also ask if I am going to work out and most of the time they will do a mile or two with me. How awesome is that? Totally cool, right? I am blessed!

So here is my activity and weekly fitness log from last week that gave me my results this week. I know there will be some weeks that I just won't lose as much, but that is OK. I am (hopefully) mentally prepared for that. GULP. OK, enough talk...here ...

    Week 4: -4.4 lbs
    Total Weight Loss: -15.4 lbs

Woohoo! I am so excited. It was a very difficult week for me but I did it and persevered. Well, actually I think every week and every day is hard. It's one step at a time, right? It just seemed to me that some days were harder than others. I pushed really hard this past month and realize that it will most likely be the one with the most significant weight loss. I am OK with that and proud of the results of all the hard work and effort I put into it.

Below is my weekly fitness log of all the activity I did throughout the week to help aid in my weight loss as well as healthy eating. I would love it if YOU joined me...yeah YOU! It will help with accountability and encouragement. You can CLICK HERE if you would like to participate. Ok, so here is my log:

    Week 3: -3.8 lbs
    Total Weight Loss: -11 lbs

So I decided to change my weigh in day to Friday from Monday. I am used to Monday weigh ins but wanted to change it so that I can eat more of my activity points on Sunday. So we'll see how this works.

I am totally stoked today as I lost -3.8 lbs this week...making it a total of -11 lbs. WOOHOO! I feel like I am finally in the zone and my motivation has met up with my perseverance. I so was not ready to start this but made myself do it anyway because I needed to. So I just went through the moves when I first started almost three weeks ago. I am so glad that I did.

Well, since I changed my weigh in day it kinda messes with my weekly fitness log. UGH! I hate it when that happens. So here is what I did so far. I will start a new thread on Fridays from now on. I hope that works. Anyway, I would ...

    Week 2: -2.2 lbs
    Total Weight Loss: -7.2 lbs

OK, so here are my week 2 stats. I will say that I weighed in every day (NOT RECOMMENDED) to see where I was at and got majorly frustrated because I didn't lose anything at all for four days. Then on the fifth day I lost about a half a pound...which is better than nothing but I still was getting discouraged because I wanted it to be more, especially with all the working out that I was doing. Then on day six I gained a pound. WHAT? Yeah, I was so not happy and gave up that day as you can see on my fitness log below. I didn't work out AND I ate horribly that day. I went to Wendy's and splurged because I was so discouraged and sulked and ate sunflower seeds during the whole day. UGH! And then of course all the guilt set in and I kept beating myself up over it all night long. It was a horrible week.

    Sunday I had a choice...to ...

    Week 1: -5 lbs
    Total Weight Loss: -5 lbs

Today I completed week one of getting back on plan doing Weight Watchers and working out. It wasn't easy getting back into the swing of things but so glad that I pushed through even though at times I felt like giving up. I lost -5 lbs this week...WOOHOO! It was definitely worth it! I am hoping that it will get a bit easier with each passing week. One can always hope, right? I am determined to reach my goal regardless if it doesn't get any easier. But it would sure make my life easier if it did. HAHA!

I did great with staying within my points and drinking water and reached every single one of my workout goals...something I am very proud of! However, I need to get a little bit more water in and will work on that in the coming weeks.

I tried some new recipes this week that I absolutely loved. One ...

Well, here I am...AGAIN! I know, it's been way too long. Hanging head in shame! But I am committing myself to resetting the fitness button and getting it done NOW...once and for all. I am going to just start over, no matter how long it takes me and do it until I reach my goal...NO MORE multi-month hiatus! Can anyone else relate?

I hate that I struggle with this, I really do! It makes me so mad. But no more excuses. It's time! No more waiting until I "feel" like it because we all know that "feeling" rarely comes. I can't do that anymore. Trust me, I have been using that excuse for a while now. OY-VAY!

So I have a plan to get back into working out as well as tracking my food doing Weight Watchers. I didn't want to do ...

Well I have had a major setback. Me and my children ended up with strep throat...ugh!!! I am on my second round of antibiotics which seem to be working.

Day one without the soda I had a major migraine and I couldn't figure out why just under 24 hours my head hurt so bad. I had gone 2-3 days without the cola before getting the withdrawal headaches. Well low and behold that night all 4 kids were diagnosed with strep. My throat starting hurting the same day the kids saw the doctor so I dragged my butt out of bed and saw my doctor first thing Wednesday morning. Surprise, surprise...positive for strep. I started to get better and then headed back down hill. On Monday I went back ...

Isn't this a great motto? Perseverance that never gives up, ALWAYS SUCCEEDS! My pastor said something very similar to this on Sunday and it really left an impression on me. He said "Faith that never gives up, always receives"! I love that and it is so true. I think that this really does apply to weight loss as well. If we never give up, we will succeed. It really is true. The important thing is to never give up. Yes, we may fall at times and take a few steps back but the most important thing is to get right back up and to keep going no matter how long it takes.

    The dictionary defines perseverance as:

Continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, obstacles, failure, opposition, or discouragement; the action or condition ...

Well, today was the first official day of my commitment to becoming lean and fit for life...AGAIN! LOL! Well, it is always an ongoing process, isn't it? I am committed to doing this no matter how long it takes me and to keep doing it for the rest of my life. Sure I will have ups and downs but the important thing is to get back up and try again...never give up!

So I met my goal of working out today. I said that I would do at least one mile of interval training with the Walk at Home Series with Leslie Sansone...and guess what, I did two miles. YEAH!!! It felt really good and it helped me to be more conscious of what I was putting into my mouth. However, I didn't track my food or eat the healthiest of foods but I did OK. I know ...

    Step 1.

Over the next two weeks I will be working on cutting out the coke-a-cola from my diet. I'm not a coffee drinker so the coke is my 'coffee'. I drink oober amounts of it during the day, starting as soon as I wake up. Most days I won't have anything to eat until supper, I survive on the cola and if I don't get the soda out of my diet I will never keep off any weight I lose.

Bring on the shakes and the caffeine withdrawal headaches and I will continue to remind myself this is only temporary and a healthy eating lifestyle is forever!!!!

New Year, New Me...Yes. I don't make New Year's Resolutions....so the decision to lose the weight is not a resolution but it's a life style I am choosing to make. Better choices in food, exercise, and daily habits, including sleep. Something that never seems to find me.

I'm tired of walking into stores and seeing all the cute outfits that are made for only the skinny girls. I will be one of those skinny girls!!!!

This will not be an easy journey and it's laden with road blocks, speed bumps, and mountains but with time, patience with myself, and perseverance I will do this!!!!

This morning when I woke up, I lay in bed wondering if I should work out or not. You see, my mind plays all sorts of tricks on me and it is super duper easy for me to make millions of excuses of why I shouldn't work out. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? I am betting I am not along in this, right? Well, I decided to just stop making excuses and made the decision to just work out and get it over with. I know, I know...I know that working out is AWESOME for me and my health but that doesn't change the fact that I absolutely hate it. And yes, for those of you out there who say, "Well, it takes two weeks for it to become a habit". I have done that too but I still hate it. Hi there, ya'll remember me? LOL! Yes, it's me! I know, I know...I have been gone way tooooooo long. I know there isn't much movement here and things have been real busy for all of us but I thought it is time for me to get back on track with my fitness and blogging even if I am the only one for now. I was doing so well with my eating and working out, but then I went on vacation in September 2012 and it has taken me this long to come back. I am ashamed and appalled that I let myself go for this long without doing much of anything or even consistently. *Hanging Head In Shame* So here I am (better late than never, heh)...back again ready to tackle this weight issue that I struggle with and no matter how long it takes me, I will conquer this ...

I completed a half marathon on Saturday and ever since then my eating had been completely out of control. I’ve been starving no matter what I ate and no matter how much water I drank. It was a completely horrible feeling and it has made me extremely depressed and sure that I was going to have a gain when I weighted myself on Thursday. That was not what happened though, I surprisingly had a loss of 1.7 lbs that puts my total weight loss of 44.9 lbs. It was extremely surprising, but weight loss is an extremely strange thing.

I didn’t workout everyday and I didn’t eat well so I’m going to do just the opposite next week. I will be going back to my original weight loss regiment. I will ...

The best laid plans are just that, plans. I was going to push harder workout and have a big loss… What really happened was a gain and an extreme lack of working out. I’ve been suffering from the worst combination of migraine/tension/rebound headaches. It was the type of pain that hurt every time I moved my head. I did try to get a workout in, but as soon as I got past the warm up I felt like I was going to be sick and pass out, not a good combination.

I learned that it working out and sweating is a huge part of my weight loss at this point. In the beginning I could slack off on the workouts, but I was still losing weight because I was eating well. This has become untrue as I’ve ...
